Video: Charter Project

Patrick Ducharme comments on the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Not only is section 24 the most powerful of the two remedy sections in the Charter but it has, in my opinion, undergone the most significant changes since April 17 1982, when the Charter came into being.

It has undergone such an extensive change recently, that the very basis upon which a Court decides  to exclude evidence has been altered rather dramatically by two cases from the Supreme Court of Canada. Those two cases are: Regina vs. Grant and Regina vs. Harrison.
